It was a game for the ages. Here were two titans ready do battle to the death for SEC supremecy. But in the end, the 2009 Alabama Crimson Tide gave the 'Gator Chomp' a root canal and turned it into the 'Gator Chumps'.
On Saturday night a hungry and determined Alabama team punched Florida in the mouth and scored a TKO by the first minute of the fourth quarter. But it was really over by halftime.
The Gators' lauded defense wobbled under the pressure of 'Bama's offensive attack like Carlos Dunlap trying to pass a road sobriety test. Tim Tebow was constantly harrassed and confused by the 'Bama defense. Where was 'Super-Tim' and the great Florida defense?
It was as we had all known - they hadn't really played anyone. The Tide was bigger, faster and more determined than the Florida team.
This was the true national championship game and 'Bama made a joke out of it.
So, Roll Tide Roll! The next test is Texas and it won't even be close.
